Community

One of the beauties of gardening is its ability to remind us of the interconnectedness between people, nature, and our community. Molbak’s has a long history of reaching out to our community, partnering with others to find ways to help make life healthier and richer for all.

Recent Partnership Success Stories

In December 2009 and 2010, Molbak's joined with other Woodinville businesses to host the Woodinville Light Festival. As part of this event, Molbak’s partnered with the Woodinville Lions Club to offer free photos with Santa to more than 200 families. We also shared complimentary Danish Kringle, apple slices, hot coffee and cocoa, and holiday craft activities for the children at this festive community event. For the past two years, Molbak's has hosted Santa Paws, a dog-friendly event benefitting the Seattle Humane Society. Pet owners have professional digital photos taken of Santa and their dog, just in time for holiday cards. At these events, our customers and employees have helped raised more than $4,700, and four animals were adopted and placed in new homes. Learn more about the Seattle Humane Society.

For two years Molbak's has hosted Girls' Night Out, an exclusive after-hours shopping event to benefit the YWCA. More than $12,000 has been raised at this fun-filled event to further the efforts of the YWCA and their important programs. Learn more about the YWCA.

For our 2010 Holiday Kick-Off celebration, Molbak’s partnered with the Northshore Schools Foundation and Inglemoor High School’s award-winning Events Class. Talented Northshore students organized a gingerbread house display, held a holiday tablescaping contest, managed craft stations, and coordinated student musicians and singers. More than $3,700 was raised for the Foundation during the weekend’s festivities. Learn more about the NSF.

Molbak's is proud to be working with Hopelink to help provide food to the homeless and low-income families, seniors and disabled people in our community. Through our Share Your Harvest Program, more than 2,500 pounds of just-picked fruits, veggies and herbs have been donated to the Redmond and Kirkland food banks. Learn more about Hopelink.
