    A Letter From Our CEO

    By Molbak's Garden + Home | Gardening, Molbak's Garden+Home | 0 comment | 21 April, 2022 | 18

    To our community,

I’m writing to share some exciting news.

Almost 10 years ago, Molbak’s began reimagining Woodinville’s city center. We connected with residents and business owners, worked with experts in sustainable community planning and gathered input from our employees and customers. Our collective vision was a place where people could live, shop, dine, work and play—all while connecting to nature and the wonderful sense of well-being it provides. This vision is now starting to come to life as The Gardens District.

Molbak’s has been the heart of Woodinville since it opened its doors in 1956 and we will remain at the center of this exciting new development; the only difference is that we’ll be in a vibrant new space, just across the road from our existing store.

As The Gardens District grows, Molbak’s lush greenery and beautiful blooms will spill out into the community, blurring the lines between urban and natural realms. Part of our vision also includes working with the community to restore Woodin Creek, and revive native habitats. It’s all very exciting. To learn more about The Gardens District, visit www.thegardensdistrict.com which will be updated with news as the project evolves.

We anticipate moving into our new store in 2025. While it is hard to say goodbye to the space that has served us so well for 66 years, we are truly excited about the new home that we are creating for our customers and the community. During construction, the original Molbak’s will be welcoming customers with normal operations.

And if you haven’t been to Molbak’s lately, we invite you to stop by. Spring is in full bloom and we’d love to celebrate the season with you.

    All my best,

    Julie Kouhia
