For some, wrapping presents is the highlight of the Christmas season, and for others… no so much. Here are three easy ways to add a garden element to your holiday wrapping, and no green thumb required! We believe everything looks better with a pop of living green, and gifts under the tree are no exception.
Simple and sweet. Add an oversized sprig diagonally over a package to add some botanical interest. Rinse off the sprig and air dry before weaving through ribbon over the package. You can also use a pinecone, dried flower or whatever is available in your backyard!
Add a sensory element using fresh herbs! Rosemary looks great, smells great, and has a long cut life. You can wrap presents ahead of time and allow the rosemary to dry out, it will retain its smell. If you procrastinate and don’t cut the rosemary until the day of, that’s okay too! A fresh cut will provide the best smell and color.
Everything’s better with pockets, including presents! You can add a pocket by creating a deep crease in your wrapping paper or add a second layer of paper that wraps around the bottom half of the gift box. Place the sprig into the pocket and add a bow. You can use the pocket to tuck in a card or gift tag.
