    Drink Your Lavender

If you can’t get enough of the scent of sunny lavender, try making a lavender simple syrup to use in one of these easy summertime drinks. You can harvest your own lavender buds and make a batch of syrup that’s ready to use in a day!

    Lavender Simple Syrup

    • ¼ cup dried culinary lavender buds*
    • ½ cup sugar
    • ½ cup honey
    • 1 cup water

Bring sugar, honey and water to a boil, lower heat, stir in the lavender and let stand until cool. For more intense flavor, refrigerate overnight. Strain through cheesecloth or fine mesh, then bottle. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

*preferably English Lavender like ‘Mustead’ or ‘Hidcote’.

    Lavender Bee’s Knees

    • 1 ounce Lavender Syrup
    • 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
    • 2 ounces gin

Pour all three ingredients to a cocktail shaker ½ full of ice. Shake vigorously for 20 seconds, then strain into a small cocktail glass, or over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a lavender sprig.

    Lavender Lemonade

    • 1 ounce Lavender Syrup
    • 2 ounces fresh lemon juice
    • 4 ounces sparkling water

Mix Lavender Syrup and lemon juice together then pour into a tall glass filled with ice. Next, add sparkling water. Garnish with a lavender sprig and lemon slices.1/4
