At Molbak’s we get to stop and smell the flowers every day. (Really!) Create your own fragrant indoor garden by picking up some ready-to-go bulbs. You’ll want bulbs that have been pre-chilled (over wintered) and are already sprouting.
The Good Old Container Style:
Choose several types of blooming bulbs. You can go with a color theme: all yellow, or white and purple; or a scented theme, or a mix. Gently remove the bulbs and replant them, arranging them with the tallest in the center or at the back. With pre-sprouted bulbs you won’t have to wait long for the sweet sight of spring!
No-Mess Container Style:
Bulbs come in small pots – leave them in their pots and add them to a larger shallow container and place decorative moss in between the pots and around the growing bulbs to hide the edges. Once the bulbs are spent, they are easy to remove and reuse the large container for something else.
Just Add Water Style:
Yes! First: find a vase. Use a small vase with a neck where the bulb can rest with the roots below, or add glass marbles to a clear vase to nestle the bulb into. Remove the bulbs from the pot and rinse off all the soil. Cut the roots back by half before placing the bulb into the vase. Add water and watch. Keep the bulb halfway in water and half out.

After the bulbs have bloomed, transplant them into the garden with some bulb fertilizer. They will rest until next Spring and you’ll get to enjoy them again and again.
Bring your favorite bulbs of Spring inside this year and you’ll get to smell the flowers every day, just like we do.
